News around the World

'The Wisdom of Pure Adventure' has just been published. This is the 2nd monograph following on from 'Pure Adventure'. Colin and his team are excited about the potential of this new one. It has been submitted to both the judges of the Banff Mountain Literary Festival for October this year and at their request; and also to the Boardman Tasker UK equivalent (Kendal November this year).

The publication price is £4.50 plus post and package (UK +£1.49, Europe +£1.99, Worldwide +£2.49). It is available from the website http://www.soadventure.org/publications.html and also from me directly or bookshops.

Proceeds go direct to The Spirit of Adventure Foundation which is in urgent need of funds.

Connections! 2010 V1

Posted in

We have come to the last quarter of 2010 and OEA is proud to present to you Connections!, our inaugural newsletter. The birth of this newsletter has been a challenging one that has taken the ExCo many hours of discussion and preparation, especially Ms Tan Ai Chin, one of our newly elected ExCo member. Being passionate about OE in Singapore, she reined in the articles from various contributors and fleshed out something we are all proud of. Hence, the ExCo would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who very kindly contributed the articles for the newsletter and also acknowledge Ai Chin for the great job. We hope you enjoy reading it and please let us know if you would like to contribute an article of your own.
